This classic vintage ANSCO camera still has its shiny finish. ANSCO was a premier photographic company from mid-1800s until the 1980s.Competition from other companies in the late 19th century compromised their expertise. In 1928 they merged with AGFA to get in on the worldwide market. Because of their association with AGFA (German company) History and World War II really impacted ANSCO and they were actually under control of the US government until the 1960s.Check out the interesting information a Wikipedia.
