Artist's Description
A close view of one of the clock faces on the Old Union Station in Helena, Montana. The building and clocks are more than 100 years old--and the clocks still function. There are four clocks, one each on each side of the tower. Two side edges show in this image. The hands are wooden, and the weather has taken its toll.
Texture added to enhance the details.
Although train service to Helena from the East had been around since the 1880s, this building, with the clocks, was built in 1904 by Northern Pacific Railroad; the building is now used as offices for Montana Rail Link.

Digital painting and graphic art techniques developed when working with authors to create covers for their books. I apply these skills to many of my images. The bulk of my PHOTOGRAPHY deals with rural enterprise and activities. If you are interested in those subjects (with a western flair) please visit my...
