This mage was taken in Norris Geyser Basin, Yellowstone National Park in February. Although most places had a foot or more of snow on the ground, the geothermal elements melt the snow here. The white on the trees is hoarfrost from the many geysers. What looks like smoke in this picture, is the steamy output of the geysers.
