Description
I have not painted this subject; molded is a better word. I started with a rectangle of colors in a random pattern, then I pushed at it and moved the edges and interior until I had the image I wanted. Once the subject was complete, I layered it against textured backgrounds.
Hares are nocturnal, so I rarely see them during the day. The ones at my place are White-tailed Jackrabbits, with black arcs on the tips of their ears. They change colors with the season, and in winter, although they're active, they blend in nicely with the snowy surroundings. In a hot summer I see them keeping cool in tall grass under my pine trees.

Thanks for the comment, Gary. I have fun doing this style, although it takes a lot more time than a photograph!
