I have not painted the subject; molded is a better word. I started with a geometric shape of colors in a random pattern, then I pushed it and moved the edges and interior until I had the elk image I wanted. Once I was satisfied with this elk portrait, I layered it on a digitally-designed background.

About Kae Cheatham
I am a visual artist (Kae C's Images) at work a few miles east of the Continental Divide in Montana USA, who produces photographic images, graphic arts, and computer art. I started with SLRs, but since 2002 have embraced the digital era.
