Description
In a stand of milkweeds, this pod had recently opened among the dry plant leaves; the wind was catching the pod silks to begin spreading the seeds. Afternoon light makes the silk shine like gossamer.

Thanks for the comment, Pamela. Not only are the delicate, but the milkweed plant is a favorite of Monarch butterflies and their caterpillar beginnings.
