Many vintage books have a flair in the book design that is rarely seen today. This volume, published in 1853, has multicolored end papers, with the pages finished in a compatible style. The book spine features gold lettering and trim. I keep this retro book mostly for this stylized ornamentation.

I am a visual artist (Kae C's Images) at work a few miles east of the Continental Divide in Montana USA, who produces photographic images, graphic arts, and computer art.
