These remnant log buildings are in Comet, a ghost town, from Montana's mining heydays. The mining operations were hit and miss from 1869 to the 1880s when serious companies became involved.Operations were were shut down in 1941 when the minerals were exhausted. Ores mined were copper, zinc, silver and gold.
