This painting was inspired by the bluebirds returning to my region of the world. When looking from my window a few weeks ago, a flock of 20 - 30 bluebirds flittered and swooped across my yard and near pasture. Snow was still 2 feet deep, but seeing them made me smile and know that Spring weather was near.
