Beaver are industrious and proficient architects that create large domed houses with the upper part out of the water for their family groups. They store branches for food in another structure so they can get to them in the winter when the pond they have created becomes frozen. Beavers are the second largest rodent in the world, and can weigh between 25 and 65 pounds; they can live 15 - 20 years.
For this digital painting (of an animal I find very interesting) I have used virtual brushes with traditional painting techniques, with no photo reference or input.
