Description
Four stumps in the snow, with snow on their tops. I took the image to black and white, and then used a digital cyanotype effect for the final results.
Cyanotype is a 170 year old photographic printing process that produces prints in a distinctive dark greenish-blue. It has mostly been used in copying architectural and mechanical drawings. Cyan comes from the Greek word kyanos, meaning blue. Anyone using modern printer will know the word as one of the inks used.
