The phalaenopsis orchid is a favorite house plant of many people. It prefers low light, blooms once a year, and the blooms will last two months or more. My frieind has ideal conditions, as this orchid puts out blossoms every year. This season the beauty was exceptionally prolific, with 12 large blooms on one stalk. You might only see 11 here, but, try as I might, I couldn't get a decent photo with all 12 blooms. I really like the elegant construction of these flowers.
