Description
Closeup of the threading system of an 1880s lockstitch sewing machine. Built by the Campbell Bosworth Machine Company of Boston, in 1882, this was the first needle-and-awl machine. Used to stitch saddles chaps, holsters and other leather goods, the machine in this image was still in use in a western Montana saddlery when I took the picture.

Congratulations Kae! Your astonishing image represents the spirit of the group Electronics And Mechanics that I want to convey! There is a thank you thread on the discussions tab if you would like to archive it there.
