Early in the summer I first thought this nest in my hay shed was a hornets nest, and made plans to get rid of it. Then I noticed the horse hair and feathers woven in and realized it was a swallow nest. It's the first time I've had these birds nesting at my place. This shot was taken as the little ones were in the nest and the adults were swooping about to feed them. I added a soft texture to the hay shed structure so the bird and nest would be more prominent.
