Artist's Description
My front door is on the south face of my house, with no trees or other shade. After twenty years, the bright mountain sunshine has been intensified against this metal security door by the glass in the storm door. The blistering and flaking is only on the section behind the clear glass. The lower part, where the screen filters the sunlight, is not damaged. I will have to replace the door eventually; it had a baked on finish, but the baking wasn't as great as what Mother Nature produced. I like the striations of dark metal and flaking; the shadows make those more prominent. The brass door knocker has been pitted, too.

About Kae Cheatham
I am a visual artist (Kae C's Images) at work a few miles east of the Continental Divide in Montana USA, who produces photographic images, graphic arts, and computer art. Digital painting and graphic art techniques developed when working with authors to create covers for their books. I apply these skills to many of my images. The bulk of my PHOTOGRAPHY deals with rural enterprise and activities. If you are interested in those subjects (with a western flair) please visit my...
