When I'm out walking, I have to squint to make out the smallest butterflies--the skippers--in the grass. They are usually solitary, but here they in a group enjoying a thistle bloom. I like the orange of the wings against the purple bloom.

Thanks for the comment, Merle. I'm rather fond of Thistle blooms--wonderful color, intricate texture, and they're sweet tasting. Unfortunately they're also invasive, and Montana mandates that we rid them from our property :(.
