Artist's Description
These are seven of the twelve large teepees erected to honor the twelve indigenous nations that reside in Montana. It will stay up through the month of November - National Native American Heritage Month. The spread is such, I couldn't get all twelve teepees in one shot, even with a wide angle lens. The colors are produced with a flood lamp inside with specific gel. This was a challenging picture for me because I take very few night images, the weather was sputtering rain, and the wind was a constant 20 - 25mph. The results of the wind are evident in the blur of the smoke flaps and the pine tree.
