I could not find a manufacture date on this old Royal typewriter; I am certain it is at least 60 years old, probably more. Keyboards are more stylized and efficient now, but the basics are still the same: QWERTY.

Interesting take! QWERTY was invented for these old typewriters so the keys didn't get bunged up with having commonly used keys too close to each other.
