Description
The wild asters really attract this little butterfly. The _Lycaena helloides_ is most often called 'purplish copper' butterfly. This square format will look nice on pillows and tote bags, as well as framed. Taken at Priest Pass (elev. 6,000 feet) near Helena, Montana.
I used a 40 year-old lens for this: an 85 - 205 telephoto, fixed 3.8. Of course, it was manual, but fun--reminding me of when I started out in photography.

I don't know, but I keep getting attracted to this one. There's something so sweet and old-fashioned about this. Reminds me of a plate, like the ones they used to make for decoration in kitchens! Gorgeous work! v/f!
Kae Cheatham replied:
Lenore, I had that old-style in mind when I put this image in a circle. So glad you appreciate it.
