Horse rearing in a 2D digital sculpture. Part of my Digital Sculptures gallery that includes renditions of animals native to Montana. These are not altered photos, and I have not painted the subject; molded is a better word. I start with a geometric shape of colors in a random pattern, then I push at it and move the edges and interior until I have the image I want. It often takes many attempts to get the desired results. Much as with water colors, if I fiddle with a piece too much the picture gets muddy and dull; I have to start again. Once the subject is complete, I layer it on a background--often one that I have digitally painted.
Wild horses are found in southeastern Montana in the Pryor Mountains, and a few in the Bitterroot mountains in the western part of the state..
