Description
Montana USA highway 434 in a light snowstorm. The asphalt roadway seems to disappear into the winter haze. This road is very lightly travelled and I didn't have to pull to the shoulder for this picture. I took it through my truck windshield, and that allowed me to get more depth in the image than if I had braved the cold snow and stood on the highway.

This is wonderful! simple, minimal with maximum effect! The complete emptiness of the sky is kind of profound and balances the scene below perfectly! My POTD for Best of Minimalism . . .fv

I love this beautiful, poignant work! It also makes me think of some of Lee Bontecou's stitched canvas sculptures. One of my picks of the day for May 4th in the Best of Photographic Minimalism group. L/F and following

Thanks, Bonnie, for the pick of the day and for the comment. Makes me smile to be even marginally likened to Bontecou. Her work is so fine!
