Description
A wonderfully clear day when I visited this canyon park. The high cliff area at Lost Creek State Park, Montana, shows unique erosion called exfoliation. It is the same geological condition that is occuring in Yosemite on Half Dome. The trees that have managed to grow look small, but they are large pines, many years old; they show the size of the "flakes." Midday sunlight give shadows to the erosion and brings out the detail.
