Description
Taken at the annual Little Bighorn reenactment on the actual site of George Armstrong Custer's fatal battle with Sioux and Cheyenne. The riders and horses here are from the Crow Indian rez, through which the Greasy Grass (Bighorn) river flows. Notice they all ride bareback, and at break-neck speeds. Many of the riders also participated in the Indian Relay competitions that are held in the Northern Rockies.
The reenactment is an annual June event, held south of the Custer Battlefield NP in Montana USA.

I appreciate your comment, Karen. I did endurance riding for a while, but was always in a saddle! :)
