Description
A female Evening Grosbeak gathers a seed near large rocks on the ground. I liked how her green beak was nearly the same color as the sprigs of green grass. As with most birds, a female's muted colors help to hide her from predators, thereby insuring any hatchlings she might have will still have a Mom to feed them.
