I have passed this roadside relic many times, but it wasn't until I saw it in a mid-March snow that I appreciated the colors of rust and intricacy of deterioration.

I am a visual artist (Kae C's Images) at work a few miles east of the Continental Divide in Montana USA, who produces photographic images, graphic arts, and computer art. Great subdued palette. Don't see many DeSotos anymore. You captured a good one!

Great piece for the classic car buff!
Kae Cheatham replied:
Thanks for the comment, Karen. I often wonder how long these relics have been sitting there; this one must have been for many years.

Cool image. I have the Nikon 85mm 1.4 but I have never used it except for portraits. I generally carry my zooms (14-24, 24-70, and 70-200) for my landscape and travel work.
Kae Cheatham replied:
Thanks for visiting, George. I would have liked the 1.4, but when I was buying, it was out of my price range. I don't shoot portrait, and landscapes only by accident. :-) My subjects: Spent today on a ranch where 300 calves were branded.
