March 2016. In Yellowstone National Park, this bison had been on the far bank and saw the several gawkers (myself included) on the other bank. He started across, and by the time he was three strides from the near bank, the snowmobilers had left, a tour coach was moving off, and my photog friends and I were getting our gear into our snow coach. The bison climbed onto land as we moved away.
