Description
For more than 15 minutes, I took pictures of this eagle dining on a road kill. It couldn't get enough! Interesting part is it was having its feast only 2 feet from a busy 4-lane highway. The whizzing cars and trucks didn't faze it. I had done a U-turn so I could park on the shoulder with my driver's window toward it.
A beautiful beast, even with its blood-stained beak.
>>>>The Bald Eagle has been the national emblem of the United States since 1782 and a spiritual symbol for native people for far longer than that. <<<<

Thanks for the comment, Constance. I did a fist pump when it was still there after my U-turn. :)
