Artist's Description

The Atlas Building is one of many landmarks in downtown Helena, Montana. From street level, it is hard to make out the interesting Art Deco gold flame relief and salamanders on the roof line. The buiilding was orignallt home to an Insurance company. Historically, Last Chance Gulch in Helena, had numerous and often devastating fires. Since downtown Helena is in a gulch, I was able to get a straight line view of the art work from a nearby hill in Reeder's Alley. That elevation also showed the cables and struts of nearby communication networks. I eliminated those so the building art work would stand out.+++++++++++++This image is copyrighted to Kae C’s Images (Kae Cheatham). About Kae Cheatham

Kae Cheatham

I am a visual artist at work a few miles east of the Continental Divide in Montana. As a former photo journalist, the bulk of my PHOTOGRAPHY deals with rural enterprise and activities. If you are interested in those subjects (with a western flair) please visit my Adobe portfolio at A few of these subjects can be found in this Fine Art America gallery, although my focus here is more on digital painting, where I work in various styles, as well as experimental and augmented photography. The COLLECTIONS show the various themes. Pick your interests and enjoy! ====> Be sure to visit my other sites: Facebook ------------- twitter -------------...
