During a September boat ride on the Missouri River (Montana USA) in the Gates of the Mountain Wilderness area, I spotted this mid-sized eagle's nest in a pine tree. As the boat motored along, I found this perspective. It was long past nesting stage. I'll go back soon, to see if the adults are raising new young.
