Description
A Yellowstone National Park bison snoozing thirty feet down a slope from the roadside. It kept opening its eye to check on all the people snapping pictures. I took four shots and left before it decided to fuss about the nap time interruption.

I refer to this bison as "it" because from this photo, sex can't be ascertained too well. All bison have horns; all bison have humps. This is probably a young bull, because the cows usually hang out in groups, raising their young.

Thanks, Karen. Yes, he was trying to take a nap, but people with cameras....Well....we just can't help it, I guess.
